On February 24-26, MLG will host the first-ever Arena event: 32 of the best StarCraft 2 players in the world, competing live from the MLG studios for $26,000 in prize money and the chance to go straight into Pool Play at the Winter Championships in Columbus on March 23-25.  The Arenas are an entirely new addition to the Pro Circuit calendar, and we’re pulling out all the stops.

The Arena is available only by purchasing a PPV pass. And we’re going to make absolutely sure you get your money’s worth. The 32 players competing in the Arena are the Top 8 from MLG Providence ’11, joined by the Top 8 from each of the Regional Online Qualifiers. As such, all the competitors are at the top of their game. We will be broadcasting every single match from the competition, on four streams.  And we’ll be doing it in a way you’ve never seen before. We now have a totally new viewing experience, with a fully customizable page where you get easy access to brackets, schedules and other info, and the ability to arrange the streams however you like and switch instantly between them—or watch them all at once.

Take a look at the Premium Arena Viewing Page demo and check out the full explanation of what the page can do.

Full Winter Arena Player List

And now, the biggest question; what’s the lineup? We have not yet finished broadcasting all the matches from the Online Qualifiers, but all the games have been played. The last thing we want to do is spoil results for anyone; however, time is ticking by, and you should have all the information that’s available when deciding whether to spend your money.  Here, then, is the full list of players who will be competing at the Arena.

SPOILERS FOLLOW.

You’re going to see some surprises on this list. It’s an incredible mix of veteran top talent and a few players who’ve been performing consistently since the beta, but have yet to have a truly breakout performance. Could this be their moment to shine? Will we have a stunning underdog victory, or will one of the Greats blast through the bracket in an epic performance?
