WCS America Premier League Qualifying Tournament:

The WCS America Qualifying tournament on April 20 and 21 featured 512 players competing online in a double elimination bracket. Congratulations to Oz, Alive, Revival, Heart, Apocalypse, Crank, Alicia, and The Stc on qualifying for the WCS America Premier League! Players finishing 9th through 48th have earned a spot in the Invite-Only Qualifier for the WCS America Challenger League on May 4.

WCS America Invite-Only Qualifier for Challenger League (May 4)

The WCS America Invite-Only Qualifier for Challenger League was held May 4 and featured 50 players competing online in a double elimination bracket. Congratulations to Top, Bails, Ian, Xenocider, Sage, Jim, Drunkenboi, Jaedong, Hwangsin, Tilea, Neeb, Puck, MacSed, Taeja, XY, and Demuslim on qualifying for the WCS America Season 1 Challenger League!

 

 

WCS America Premier League:

The format of the WCS America Premier League is very similar to the Code S format popularized by GSL, with two Group Stages followed by an Eight-Player, Single Elimination Bracket called the Regional Finals.

The Premier league will include 32 players – 24 invited players and eight players advancing from the WCS America Qualifying Tournament. Players will be divided amongst eight groups with four players in each group.

• Group Stage 1: Players will compete online.
• Group Stage 2:  Players will compete LIVE, in-person from the MLG Studio in New York City. See schedule below.

The WCS America Regional Finals took place Saturday June 1 and Sunday June 2. The Top 5 players qualified for the WCS Global Finals in Korea.

WCS America Challenger League:

The format of the WCS America Challenger League is very similar to the Code A format popularized by GSL, with a Single Elimination Bracket followed by a Group Stage.  The Challenger League provides Players with the opportunity to qualify for the WCS Season 2 Premier League.
