This weekend, the top Super Smash players from around the world will compete at Ohio State University’s E-Sports Initiative (ESI)’s Shuffle V tournament benefiting Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

 

Beginning Saturday, February 22 at 12pm ET and continuing through Sunday, February 23, hundreds of players will go head to head to earn money for charity. Fans can tune in to www.MLG.TV to watch the competition live and help contribute to the charitable donation*.

 

Top players will compete in six Super Smash Brothers games tournament brackets: Singles and Doubles for Melee, Brawl, and Project M. The event will commentated by the Smash favorite:  www.vgbootcamp.com crew including VGBC|GimR and his team, as well as guest pro player casters. Fans can follow @ESI_OSU on twitter for updates throughout the weekend.

 

*Proceeds from the event and online viewing ad revenue will be donated to charity.

  • For singles, players will compete in pools with the Top 32 battling it out in a double elimination bracket. For doubles, players will compete in a double elimination bracket.

 

PRIZES:  100% of the profits from competitor and spectator venue fees will be donated to charity. 100% of the individual tournament fees will be paid out to competitors as follows:

 

1st place – 50% of respective entry fees

2nd place – 25% of respective entry fees

3rd -15% of respective entry fees

4th – 10% of respective entry fees

 

VOD: VOD will be uploaded to YouTube after every match.
