Besides the FPS, what is your favorite gaming genre?

Sports, because of the competitive aspect. It’s also just enjoyable to play as your favorite athletes.

What was the first video game you ever played?

I’m going to have to say Duck Hunt on the NES. If not that, then one of those handheld 2D games. I had a lot of those growing up.

Do you like board games or card games? If so, what are your favorites?

I definitely played a lot of card games with my family, like Go Fish and Crazy 8s. I also played a lot of board games such as Knockout, Connect 4, and Clue. Clue is a blast and so is that Guess Who game.

What was your favorite cartoon growing up?

I was completely addicted to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. That’s no contest. I remember this one time getting mad at my mom because I woke up at like 9:02 and the show started at 9. I thought it was her responsibility to wake me up for the show!

What was your favorite turtle?

Hard to say, but I think it was probably Donatello. They are all so amazing.

During the console wars of your youth, were you on the side of Nintendo or Sega?

I had both the SNES and the Genesis, but if I had to pick then Sega wins.

Why did you like Sega better?

I had Sega first, for probably a year or two. I just had an affinity for it. The N64 was absolutely amazing though.

Are you still friends with people from grade school or high school?

Yes. I still have friends from back in grade school.

What do they think of your gaming career?

I’m sure they are happy for me, if not a little jealous.

What about your family? Are they supportive?

My family is very supportive. They see me as a smart person who makes good decisions, so they trust my judgment and let me do what I want to do.

What other hobbies do you have besides gaming?

I love watching and going to sports games and I play guitar non-stop.

Could we be seeing “The Foulacy Band” on the record charts someday or are you going to stick with gaming?

My lifelong goal is to become a rock star. That’s been my dream since I was young. I’ve played guitar for nine years.

Can we get you to upload a song to the MLG Game Room?

Haha, No!

If you had to live anywhere but California, where would you choose to live?

There are two options. First, someplace in the middle of the US would be nice, because I hate traveling cross-country all the time. Second, I love the Pacific Northwest. I used to take family vacations to Northern California and Oregon as a kid, so I love it up there.

What was your first MLG event and how did you do?

My first MLG event was San Fransisco 2004. It was a Halo 1 event and I got fourth place.

Did you ever dream that you would be on top of the pro-gaming world when you went to that first event and took fourth place?

Yes I did. I dreamed, but I didn’t think I would be. But people can always dream, can’t they?

What is your favorite Halo 1 map and why?

My favorite map was probably Rat Race because it was just a constant pistol fight, which was super fun.

Besides you and Fonzi, are there any members of the old-school Str8 Rippin Xbox Live clan that MLG fans would recognize?

Sure! Samurai, Walka, Sad Panda, shook on3, Karma, Blackjak and a whole lot more!

What do you think is the best map in Halo 2 and why?

I hate to say it, but probably Midship because it’s so versatile and there really isn’t a bad gametype you can play on it.

What do you think has been the most significant glitch to competitive Halo 2?

That has to be BxR. I don’t think that’s even a question. Once people realized you could B-x-anything, it changed the game forever.

Any advice for pro-gaming hopefuls out there?

If recent MLG culture has taught you anything it is that you don’t have to play forever. You can be a new star. I haven’t seen so much new talent in all my days playing Halo as there is right now, from the top to the bottom. I’m not just talking about pro teams either. Everyone has a chance.
