Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Melee Added to MLG World Finals 2015

MLG World Finals 2015 – 100th Event – New Orleans, Louisiana – October 16-18

 

Major League Gaming is happy to announce the triumphant return of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Melee competition at the MLG World Finals on October 16-18 in New Orleans.  This will mark the 34th MLG Event to feature a Super Smash Bros. tournament.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Melee will both feature a double-elimination tournament with up to 256 Players competing for $10,000 in prize money.  Both Tournaments will begin at 2 PM CDT on Friday, October 16 and crown a champion on Sunday.

The Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Melee Tournament Area, sponsored by PDP, will provide ample room for friendlies in addition to dedicated tournament stations for each title.

Tournament Registration is open now in the MLG Store.  Single Tournament Player Passes will be sold for $50.  That includes a $30 Venue Fee and a $20 Tournament Fee.  Players can also compete in both Tournaments by purchasing a Combined Player Pass for $70. Players must register online as Player Passes will not be sold at the door.

For those looking to watch the action in person, General Admission Tickets are already on sale for $49.  And for those looking to watch from home, be sure to tune in to MLG.tv all weekend long.
