It’s here: the event we’ve been building up to for months. The Online Qualifiers kicked off the Season, as weeks of play narrowed a field of incredible players down to 24. Those 24 were then joined by the Top 8 from last Season’s National Championships. These 32 players, some of the best in the world, fought it out over three days of incredibly high-level play at the Winter Arena, to see who’d start the Championships in Pool Play. And now it’s time for the final chapter of the Winter Season. This is where we find out who’s the best of the best, and see who will be taking home a share of the massive $76,000 prize pool, with $25,000 for 1st Place alone.

Watch the Winter Championships Live from Columbus, OH: March 23-25

Live Pro Circuit Events are more than just competitions;  they’re celebrations. If you’re watching from home, whether alone, with a group of friends, or at a BarCraft, they’re a chance to treat yourself to three solid days of the best StarCraft 2 has to offer:  top players, top casters and commentary, and top quality broadcasts. So what’s in store for you at the Winter Championships?

The Casters

For anyone even slightly familiar with the scene, this group needs no introduction. We’re incredibly happy to announce that our SC2 casters in Columbus will be none other than Tasteless, Artosis, DJWheat, Day[9], JP McDaniel, and Rob Simpson.

Joining them will be a host of talent that you should recognize from their incredible work at the Arena and on the Beta streams last year, including Tumba, Robin, Adebisi, Psylence, Axel (formerly Axeltoss) and more.

The Open Bracket

This thing gets crazier with every event. The 240-player Open Bracket at the Winter Championships is completely sold out. We’ll have the full confirmed list of players for you tomorrow, but here’s a preview of some of the names you can expect to see: Select, Jinro, Thorzain, HasuObs, Rain, Artist, Minigun… and a ton more.

Watch it all Live

Those of you who watched the Arena know how incredibly cool the new live viewing page is. Arrange the streams however you like, watch them all at once, and get live alerts, schedules, and bracket updates. We’ll be showing the Winter Championships on that same live page.

Get the Full Championship Experience

As always, there will be a free way to watch the Championships; you’ll get plenty of action even if you decide not to pay a penny. But to get the full experience—meaning access to ALL the streams, in full HD—there are two things you can do.

Gold Membership

For only $30, you get access to every single stream in HD at all four live Championships of the 2012 Season, as well as discounts on a variety of Events, passes, and products. This is by far the best deal we offer, and it’s a steal for any StarCraft 2 fan. Gold Membership is currently available online again, but for a limited time only. On Sunday, after the Winter Championships end, Gold Membership will no longer be available online.

Get an HD Pass for the Winter Championships

Starting Thursday, March 22 at 6pm ET, you can purchase an HD pass for $20, right through the player on the live page. That’s $20 for one Event, as opposed to Gold Membership, which is $30 for four events.

However you choose to watch,  you’re in for an incredible weekend. We’ll have the complete broadcast schedule for you soon. For now, mark your calendars for Friday, March 23 at 5:00pm ET, get yourself hyped with full info about SC2 at the Winter Championships and get ready for the Pro Circuit.
