Str8 Rippin and Perfect Storm met in Round 5 of the Losers Bracket, each already assured of a Top 8 placing. The winner would advance to the Top 6 and the loser’s tourney would officially end.

Game 1 went to Str8 Rippin. They dominated the closing moments of Midship CTF, snagging a 5-3 win. That win put them up in the series 1-0. Perfect Storm, undaunted, evened the series on Game 2′s Beaver Creek Team Slayer. The 50-42 victory left things nodded at one apiece.

The most lopsided game of the series occurred in the middle match, Lockout Oddball. Perfect Storm mostly controlled the flow and enjoyed superior position for the greater part of the game. They took the game 5:00-3:14, led by Naded who went 38-19. Perfect Storm seemed to have all the momentum and now led the series 2-1.

Str8 Rippin did not roll over, however, as they played solidly during Midship Bomb. Havok was huge, going 34-26 while contributing 33 assists. Neighbor chipped in with a 35-26 performance. They led Str8 Rippin to a tense 2-1 win, which tied the series at two.

The tiebreaker happened on Warlock in the form of Team Slayer. The game was over within five minutes, as both teams piled up kills quickly. Nearly from the start, Perfect Storm built a five-kill cushion and pushed for map control. Perfect Storm gathered control of the top of the map and forced Str8 to all spawn in a grenade alley, leaving them effectively defenseless. Perfect Storm capitalized and pushed past Str8, winning 50-38. Naded led the way with 15 kills to just 10 deaths. Perfect Storm took the series in five games and advanced to play FBI The Agency.
