Ah yes, New Year’s Eve. I don’t know what most of you are doing tonight (I don’t think I want to know), but I know it’s going to be a fun new years. While you are having fun running around like monkeys, be sure to take a moment to remember the tens of thousands of people without a home on the other side of the world today. We live in an awesome country which has already donated over $18 million of our private funds to the International Red Cross. If you have a few extra bucks to spare make a donation at redcross.org. - Wu has posted a link to MTV’s Making the Game: Halo 2 in WMV format at Fileplanet. He has also re-encoded it for Quicktime consumption. There is a ton of footage of the MLG 2004 Championship in the last quarter of the segment. If you missed this on MTV, now is the time to jump on it. (HBO)
- MIT’s Technology Review has an article about American Soldiers playing games while in Iraq. HBO is having some heavy discussion on the topic. (HBO)
- Yeahronimo Media Ventures Inc. the Commodore brand Thursday for $33 Million. They will be reviving some of the original console games along with an MP3 Player. Maybe we can integrate some of them in the 2005 season.
- Missed this yesterday over at 1up. It seems that EB is offering a Doom 3 Collector’s Edition for the Xbox that will offer full versions of ultimate doom and doom 2 (single player and multiplayer). It will also include a behind the scenes DVD of the making of Doom 3 and G4TTV’s “Icons” episode on id Software.
