Hey everyone- Shibby here. I first just want to start off by saying thank you to everyone for all the love and awesome feedback that has been received about the last Dr Pepper Ultimate Gaming House episode; every message gives me a big smile and I can’t say thank you enough! As you know, the last episode was a little different crew-wise, which is why this blog will be a Q&A with Dr Pepper girl Myla. I hope you enjoy!

MLG: How did you get involved with Dr Pepper & MLG?

Myla: I first got involved with Dr Pepper in 2009. I was auditioning for a Puma print ad and next door was a search for Dr Pepper girls, so I wandered over and interviewed. A few days later I received a call back and was told I got it! I was so excited, I remember jumping up and down screaming. It was my first job since moving to LA, and was a huge relief.

MLG: When was your first MLG event?

Myla: I have been with MLG since 2009, so about 16 events so far.

MLG: When you found out that you were going to do the show what did you expect? What was going through your mind?

Myla: I was so excited to do the UGH. It’s one of the coolest parts of the MLG/Dr Pepper partnership.  We see the videos of all the episodes online and they’re played in our Dr Pepper booth at MLG events, so to actually be there was a big deal for me. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I love adventures and this definitely turned out to be one.

MLG: Was making over the room easy?

Myla: NO. Fun, but not easy. There are so many details that go into making over an entire room. Shibby is a creative genius! Somehow every room he has done turns out unique, and suits the individual to a T. I didn’t want to leave his room when the time came.

MLG: How do you think the room turned out?

Myla: That room is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. I wouldn’t be surprised if Nick spent the rest of his summer in there. The amount of Dr Pepper we gave him (plus mini fridge) made me so jealous! I now understand why the show is titled ULTIMATE Gaming House. Literally the coolest room I’ve ever seen.

MLG: What was your favorite prize that we gave Nick?

Myla: His 3D TV! Grrr! I want one. I’m a little obsessed with 3D movies and the fact that he can play StarCraft 2 on it is…I’m speechless.

MLG: What are the guys on the crew like to hang out with?

Myla: Loved, loved the UGH boys! Their energy and attitude is magnetic. And how well they worked in bringing everything together in only one day was unreal.

MLG: What goes on when the camera is off?

Myla: When the camera is off, we are just as fun, wild and weird as you see on camera [grins].

MLG: How did Nick’s reaction make you feel?

Myla: Honestly, it kind of brought a tear to my eye. Watching someone so humble and thankful receive something so huge—I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before. I’m so happy I got to be a part of this. Watching someone’s dream come true isn’t something you get to see every day.  I’m proud to be a part of the Dr Pepper/MLG team which made that happen for him.

MLG: Overall, what was the experience like for you?

Myla: It made me realize more about myself and what I want to do in my life. As a Dr Pepper girl we get to talk to you guys briefly at events, we give prizes out and watch your reactions, but this was on such a larger scale. It made me realize how valuable it is to be able to do this for someone else. It has made me look for more ways in my everyday life to bring happiness to as many people as possible. Hanging out with Nick for the whole day made me wish I could do something like that every day!
