Final Boss demonstrated their continued dominance of the Halo 2 world as they swept a strengthened Str8 Rippin roster in the third round of the Winners Bracket. This victory puts them just a few short wins away from yet another tournament title in 2007.

In Game 1, the two squads met in CTF Warlock. Final Boss jumped out to an early lead and despite a few clutch plays to score two flags along the way, Str8 fell in this match 2-5 as Walshy put up 41 kills against them. With both teams favoring a passive set up, Game 2’s TS Lockout meeting went to the time limit. Final Boss pulled out the victory in this one 47-38 despite giving up the lead to Str8 with less than three minutes to go. Ogre 2 posted 14 kills to lead his side, while StrongSide followed close behind him with 13 kills of his own. However, the other Ogre took control in the third map. Scoring 38 kills for Final Boss, Ogre 1 led his team to a 4:05-3:15 victory on Midship Oddball.

FB is looking as strong as ever, having just rolled through Str8 Rippin in a clean three-game series

This victory propels Final Boss forward into the fourth round of the Winners Bracket, while Str8 will fall into the Losers and await the winner of a match there tomorrow morning.
