The defending Halo champions, Final Boss, launched their Halo 3 careers in Round 2 at the Meadowlands against UnXpected. All hopes of an upset by the upstarts were quashed in the opening moments of Game 1, The Pit Team Slayer. Final Boss jumped to a lead they would never relinquish. One might imagine a better start to a Halo 3 career than Ogre 2′s first game, but it would be difficult. Tom Ryan registered 18 kills to a mere two deaths en route to a 50-21 win for Final Boss.

Game 2 saw the national champions just as dominant. Construct King of the Hill ended at 250-31 in favor of Final Boss. Strongside paced the team, logging 16 kills and only dying twice. Final Boss moved to Round 3 with ease and looked to be in excellent shape in the process.
