Hey guys,
This is FearItself, with my Post-Providence Blog! I would like to thank MLG for the awesome Season, and NOS for providing me with the energy to power through it. I'd like to start by recapping what happened in Providence, but spend most of this blog talking about what I'm going to be doing in the off-season. Some things have happened already, like my Thanksgiving feast, and some are still to come, like the Ogre's Famous WinterWonderLAN. It's looking to be an exciting off-season.

In Providence, my team, Final Boss, placed 6th. It could have been much worse, and it could have been a little bit better, but there are no excuses. We had participated in the five-team LAN at The LAN Network prior to Providence, so we were more prepared than we had been all Season. After a tough bout against Instinct we found ourselves in the Losers Bracket against Classic, playing for a spot in the Top 4. We went down 2-1 in the series and we were mounting a comeback to bring the series to Game 5, but when it looked like we had Classic dead and buried on Pit CTF, they came back to life with one minute left in regulation and double capped the flag on us to tie, and then went on to triple capture to win and secure a spot in the top four. Losing that game was one of the worst feelings I've ever had in conjunction with MLG. Not only were we embarrassed, but our tournament was over, and, with it, the Season. That will sit wrong with me the entire off-season and it will be my fuel, along with NOS, of course, to practice hard and perform at my peak next Season.
Congrats to Instinct for winning the National Championship. For Roy and Lunch it was their first, but it was Ogre 2's 5th. Unbelievable! I'm incredibly excited about next Season and the possibility of No Bloom settings, which would really play to my strengths, as well as my team. I feel that we would be a much stronger team with the inclusion of No Bloom settings, because our roster is filled with veteran players. Next Season should be very interesting, and I can't wait to be a part of it.

The holidays are always a nice break from gaming. I get to see my family and hang out with old friends that I haven't spent much time with because of all of the traveling I do during the MLG Season. Thanksgiving was pretty standard for us, we went to my grandma's house and my entire family was there. All of the food was amazing, and I think I ate my entire body weight in ham!
There will be a few big-ticket Halo events going on during the off-season, and I'm looking forward to attending the Holy Grail of LANs: The WinterWonderLAN. Put on by the Ogre twins, it is an invite-only Halo 1 LAN featuring all of the best Halo 1 pros. It will definitely be the best competition you can find for the small but powerful Halo 1 subculture. On the subject of LANs, it's rumored that TheLANnetwork.com will be coming back under new management, so that means Mr. P is out, just to clarify. Watch out for that in the next few weeks.
In the end, this Season was an awesome one thanks to MLG, Final Boss, and, of course, NOS High-Performance Energy Drinks. Special thanks to NOS for allowing me to meet so many great people, travel to E3, race drift cars in New Jersey, andeverything else they have done for me. It has been a truly awesome year and I'm extremely excited to compete in what should be a record-breaking year, on all levels, for Major League Gaming next Season. Of course, I can't forget you, my fans–big shout out to all of you. Your support helps me continue competing at the highest level and it means everything to me. Thank you, and watch out for a red-hot FearItSelf next Season.
