At Major League Gaming, we're devoted to our community. From our developers' point of view, that community includes not only the users of our site, but the brilliant and talented software engineers behind the open source projects we rely on every day. In particular, we'd like to thank the teams behind the following projects:
In addition to working with other people's projects, we release some of what we're building back into the community. Here are a few examples:
We use Brightcove to catalogue and serve our video library. The Brightcove gem makes using Brightcove within any Ruby project a breeze.
Update: Brightcove has adopted our gem as the official Ruby library for their Media API!
We wrote the Ruby library to access Halo Reach data.
It's not live on our sites yet, but you can check out our Leaderboard gem which used Redis for fast ranking. Stay tuned…
The Ventilation Gem adds helper code that generates ESI tags (for later processing upstream via Varnish). In production mode ESI tags are rendered as expected, while in staging mode it causes tags to be resolved internally within Rails.
If you're interested in working with the MLG development team, join Github for one of our projects and send us a pull request! You can also follow us on Twitter at @agoragames.
