Co-Founder and CEO
Sundance DiGiovanni is a seasoned executive, recognized thought leader in video game culture, and veteran creative director with more than 18 years of experience in the media, technology and video game industries. He co-founded MLG in 2002 with Mike Sepso, with the goal of creating a company that would reflect both his lifelong passion for gaming and his deeply competitive nature. Sundance currently serves as the CEO of MLG, which has become the world’s largest professional video game league and provider of cross platform online videogame competition. As CEO, Sundance focuses on the long-term growth of competitive video gaming and the various distribution channels that are helping to bring this burgeoning sport to an ever-growing community.
Prior to co-founding MLG, Sundance was Worldwide Creative director at Gotham Broadband, a broadband media pioneer. He is a veteran creative executive and has worked closely with a wide variety of brands, including AOL Time Warner, DirecTV, Sony, Pfizer, Nortel Networks, and Sprint.
Co-Founder and Chairman
Mike co-founded MLG with Sundance DiGiovanni in 2002 and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors. As Chairman, Mike focuses on facilitating strategic media deals and cementing MLG's position in the world of professional video gaming. Prior to helping found MLG, Mike was co-founder and co-CEO of Gotham Broadband, an early innovator in the broadband content and delivery industry. He managed the broadband strategy for several key clients and media partners including Sprint, Hughes Electronics, DirecTV, Cablevision, and AOL Time Warner in the U.S., and British Telecom, UPC Chello, and KNRW (Deutsche Telekom) in Europe. In addition to his position at MLG, Mike is currently the CEO and Managing Partner of Legion Enterprises LLC, a private equity firm that invests in digital media companies. Mike has a B.S. in management from Babson College.
Senior Vice President, League Operations and Production
Adam runs the day-to-day operations of the Pro Circuit and Pro Players' Association. Working with the Commissioner, he oversees the rules, regulations and schedule for MLG's Live Competitions, and is responsible for venue procurement, staffing, and player logistics. At Live Competitions, he manages hundreds of staff to ensure the smooth registration and play-through of thousands of competitors. He also works closely with Partner Marketing to manage the onsite activation of MLG's sponsors. He has been with MLG since 2003, and worked with the founders on the League's inaugural Season. Adam graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Sports Management and minors in Political Science and Business Administration.
Chief Financial Officer
As CFO, Jarratt is responsible for financial analysis, M&A and growth strategy, overall financial and corporate level budgeting, and administrative management (including HR, purchasing, and customer service). Jarratt is an accomplished senior financial executive with a career spanning the media, technology, and apparel industries. Prior to joining MLG, he was a part of an executive team that orchestrated the turnaround and acquisition of an international financial services and information firm by one of the largest media companies in the world. He has also served as Chief of Operations for an import/export manufacturer and merchandiser and VP of Finance for two technology companies. Jarratt has an M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University and holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
Senior Vice President, Premium Services
Lee manages premium services product development for all of MLG's online properties, creating revenue opportunities through integration between social media and online competitive gaming. He also directs the MLG PC Circuit and the company's digital media technology platforms, which include MLG's live streams and the robust and rapidly growing online communities. Lee joined MLG through the company's acquisition of GotFrag, for which Lee continues to serve as President. In that role, he advises on strategic issues around MLG's PC Circuit and PC-centric strategies. Prior to his tenure with MLG, Lee founded and held positions at several innovative technology companies, including Critical Dynamics, Teligent, and Associated Communications.
Chief Technology Officer
As Chief Technology Officer, Brian is responsible for managing MLG's technology decisions and architecture. Brian has more than ten years of experience in the technology industry, and is passionate about the software industry, supporting open development models that stimulate creativity and innovation. Brian is the chief architect behind the MLG/Agora Hydra system, which enables web to in-game integration on a massive scale, with a primary emphasis on web community building. Before joining Agora in 2008, Brian was general manager of Multimedia Games (MGAM) where he managed the design, operation, and support of New York State's multi-billion dollar video lottery system. Brian participates in several associations and professional organizations, and holds a BS in electrical and computer engineering from Clarkson University.
Executive Vice President, Global Sales and Partnerships
John has been with Major League Gaming for over four years in positions of increasing responsibility. In his current role, he leads MLG's global sponsor sales team, with a focus on aligning blue-chip marketers with the company's competitive gaming partnerships and media properties, which include the MLG Pro Circuit and the thriving online community at majorleaguegaming.com. Prior to his tenure at MLG, he spent nine years with Major League Soccer and Soccer United Marketing. During that time, he held the position of Senior Director, New Business Development & National Media Sales, and was primarily responsible for overseeing integrated sponsorship sales for Major League Soccer and the U.S. National Team, and ABC/ESPN advertising sales for the FIFA World Cup. He has also spent time in the cable advertising sales industry and in the network buying group at J. Walter Thompson.
VP Communications and PR
As VP Communications and PR, Katie spearheads communication strategies, public relations, media relations and internal communications efforts for MLG. Katie brings more than 12 years of communications experience to the company having worked with some of the world’s largest consumer facing brands including Microsoft, Xbox, Martha Stewart and Starbucks to name a few. Prior to working with MLG, she served as VP consumer public relations for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia (MSLO) where she was responsible for promoting products and partnerships including new merchandise offerings, book launches and magazine releases and arranging interviews with Martha and the experts at MSLO. Katie was first introduced to MLG in 2003 during her seven year tenure at Edelman Public Relations where she worked on the launches of Microsoft’s Xbox 360, Halo 2, and a variety of other video games, as well as industry trade shows like E3 and CES. She is a graduate of the University of Washington in Seattle where she majored in journalism.
Vice President, Business Affairs & Development
Jerry leads MLG’s Business Affairs and Development department and is responsible for: sourcing, negotiating and closing the company’s strategic deals; overseeing MLG's brand licensing and merchandising strategy and execution; and managing the general business and legal affairs of the company. With over ten years of experience in law, he has represented many top companies, including Pfizer, Verizon Wireless and Purdue Pharma. Before joining the MLG team, Jerry spent over 7 years at Kaye Scholer in New York City, where his practice focused on litigation and corporate counseling for intellectual property, antitrust and general commercial matters. Jerry graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University where he received a B.A. in economics and political science, and then he received a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
