Playoffs

Call of Duty: Ghosts – Rosters

Call of Duty: Ghosts – Format

2014 Pro Circuit - Call of Duty Ghosts - Season 2 Format

Regular Season & Playoffs Format

1.   The Event will be separated into a Regular Season and a Double Elimination Playoffs Bracket.

2.   The Event will support 12 Teams in the Regular Season.

3.   Each Team will be scheduled to play each other Team four times during the Regular Season for a total of 44 Matches per Team.

4.   Teams will be set to act as the Home Team for 22 Regular Season Matches and as the Away Team for 22 Regular Season Matches.  Teams will be set to act as the Home Team twice against each other Team and as the Away Team twice against each other Team.

5.   Each Team will accumulate a record of Matches Won and Matches Lost (Standings) at the end of the Regular Season.

6.   Teams finishing 1st-8th in the Regular Season Standings will qualify for the Playoffs where they will be joined by the Teams finishing 1st-2nd in the Regular Season Standings of the Gfinity Call of Duty League and the winner of ACL Brisbane.

7.   All Playoff Teams will start in the Winners Bracket.  After losing a Match in the Winners Bracket, teams will enter the Losers Bracket.  A Match loss in the Losers Bracket, or the Championship Match, will result in elimination from the Event.

8.   When one Team remains in both the Winners Bracket and the Losers Bracket, those Teams will compete against each other in the Championship Match.  The Championship Match will begin with an initial Best of 5 Games Match.  If the Winners Bracket Team wins the initial Match, they will win the Event.  If the Losers Bracket Team wins the initial Match, a 2nd Best of 5 Games Match must be played.  The winner of a 2nd Best of 5 Games Match, in the Championship Match, will win the Event.

9.   Teams will be seeded as follows:

      #1 = MLG CoD League - Season 2 - 1st Place in Regular Season

      #2 = MLG CoD League - Season 2 - 2nd Place in Regular Season

      #3 = MLG CoD League - Season 2 - 3rd Place in Regular Season

      #4 = MLG CoD League - Season 2 - 4th Place in Regular Season

      #5 = ACL Brisbane Winner

      #6 = Gfinity CoD League - Season 1 - 1st Place in Regular Season

      #7 = MLG CoD League - Season 2 - 5th Place in Regular Season

      #8 = MLG CoD League - Season 2 - 6th Place in Regular Season

      #9 = Gfinity CoD League - Season 1 - 2nd Place in Regular Season

      #10 = MLG CoD League - Season 2 - 7th Place in Regular Season

      #11 = MLG CoD League - Season 2 - 8th Place in Regular Season

Regular Season Standings Tiebreakers

1.   Regular Season Standings ties will be broken using Head to Head Match Winning Percentage (Matches Won vs. Tied Teams / Matches Played vs. Tied Teams).

2.   If Head to Head Match Winning Percentage can’t break a tie, Head to Head Game Winning Percentage (Games Won vs. Tied Teams / Games Played vs. Tied Teams) will be used to break the tie.

3.   If Head to Head Game Winning Percentage can’t break a tie, Overall Game Winning Percentage (Games Won / Games Played) will be used to break the tie.

4.   If there is a tie involving more than two Teams and a Tiebreaker resolves the tie for a Team(s), but leaves at least two Teams tied, the tie(s) that remains will be broken by starting over with Head to Head Match Winning Percentage.

5.   The higher number will win all tiebreakers.

6.   If the aforementioned Tiebreakers can’t break a tie involving only Teams that have qualified for the Playoffs, the tie will be broken randomly.

7.   If the aforementioned Tiebreakers can’t break a tie where a Team(s) will qualify for the Playoffs and a Team(s) won’t qualify for the Playoffs, MLG will add Matches to the Schedule in the form of a Tiebreaker Bracket, in order to break the tie.  The Tiebreaker Bracket will be seeded randomly.

Match Format

1.   All Matches will be Best of 5 Games.

2.   All Matches will use the Domination Game Mode for Games 1 & 4, the Search & Destroy Game Mode for Games 2 & 5, and the Blitz Game Mode for Game 3.

Registration

1.   There is no Entry Fee for participation in the Event.  In addition, all Teams will have Free Anaheim Championship Entry whether they are competing in the Season 2 Playoffs or the Season 3 Play In Tournament (Open Bracket).

2.   Ten Teams of MLG’s choosing and the top two Teams from the Season 2 Play In Tournament will be invited to participate in the Event.

Additional Gameplay Rules - Playoffs

3.   Teams should play a Host Test Game, for roughly 30 seconds, before a new Host is going to be used, in order to determine if the Host is reasonable.  Host Test Games should be played using a Map that the Teams are not scheduled to play against each other so that Players aren’t confused about whether the Match has officially begun/resumed.

4.   All Players must agree that the Host is reasonable before the start of a Game.  If a reasonable Host can’t be found, the hosting Team’s best Host must be used.

5.   If, after the start of a Game, Host is transferred to a Player who wasn’t designated to be the Game’s Host, the Game must still be played.
