Penalties

1.   Players found to have broken a Foul Rule will be issued a Foul.   For every two Fouls that a Player receives, they will be issued a Technical Foul.

2.   Players found to have broken a Technical Foul Rule will be issued a Technical Foul.  If a Ghosts Player receives a Technical Foul, the opposing Team will be allowed to switch the hosting Team for 1 upcoming Game in the Match.  If a Starcraft 2 Player receives a Technical Foul, they will lose their next opportunity to Veto a Map.  Instead, their opponent will be given the opportunity to veto an extra Map.  If necessary, these penalties will be carried over from one Match to the next or one Pro Circuit Event (Online or Offline) to the next.  If a penalty is carried over from one Pro Circuit Event to the next, it will be carried over by only the Player who received the Technical Foul.

3.   Ghosts Players who receive three Technical Fouls in one Match will be given a One Minute Penalty.  After three Technical Fouls, each subsequent Technical Foul in the Match will result in another One Minute Penalty.  If a Player receives a One Minute Penalty, they will be instructed by the Match’s Referee to keep their Character still on their spawn for the first minute of their next Game.

4.   Starcraft 2 Players who receive three Technical Fouls in one Match will be given a One Game Penalty.  After three Technical Fouls, each subsequent Technical Foul that the Player receives in the Match will result in another One Game Penalty.  When a Starcraft 2 Player receives a One Game Penalty, their opponent will be allowed to select one unit, other than Probe, Drone, SCV, Zealot, Zergling, Marine, Overlord, Queen, or Mothership Core, that the Player with the One Game Penalty won’t be allowed to create during the upcoming Game.  If the Player with the One Game Penalty creates that unit during the upcoming Game, they will Forfeit the Game.

5.   If necessary, One Game and One Minute Penalties will be carried over from one Match to the next or one Pro Circuit Event to the next.  If a One Game or One Minute Penalty is carried over from one Pro Circuit Event to the next, it will be carried over by only the Player who received the Technical Fouls.  Players who fail to follow a Tournament Official’s instructions regarding a One Game or One Minute Penalty may be Disqualified and may also be subject to post-Event penalties such as a Temporary Ban from MLG’s Network of Websites, Forfeit of a Prize, and/or a Ban from a future Pro Circuit Event(s).

6.   Players found to have broken one of the Additional Rules may Forfeit their current Match and all future Matches in the Event (Disqualified).  Their Team may also be forced to continue shorthanded.

7.   Players who receive five Technical Fouls during a Pro Circuit Event will be Disqualified and their Team will be forced to continue shorthanded.

8.   Players found to have broken any Pro Circuit Conduct Rules may be subject to post-Event penalties such as a Temporary Ban from MLG’s Network of Websites, Forfeit of a Prize, and/or a Ban from a future Pro Circuit Event(s).
